The Social Business Concept |
|
Social business concept was embraced by GFSI after the realization of the inequity in commercial business. Commercial business operates on the basis of limited understanding of human nature - a money making machine - making its main goal profit maximization. In most cases this has turned out to be exploitative. The handouts approach cannot work either. It lacks sustainability, risks making the primary stakeholders (community members) perpetual dependants which restricts the attainment of tangible and sustainable positive impact.
